1. What is CBFC and What Does a Regional Officer Do?
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. It is responsible for regulating the public exhibition of films under the provisions of the Cinematograph Act, 1952. Commonly known as the Censor Board, the CBFC certifies films for public exhibition and examines content across all formats — feature films, short films, documentaries, and trailers.

4. Eligibility Criteria for Deputation

- Statement indicating whether any minor/major penalty has been imposed on the officer during the last 10 years
- Attested photocopies of educational certificates, service records, and date of joining slip for current post
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from parent department/cadre controlling authority
- A certificate from the Head of Office/Department that no disciplinary/vigilance case is pending or contemplated against the officer
