Essential Qualification: A recognised MBBS degree with a postgraduate qualification — MD, MS, MDS, or equivalent — in the relevant speciality from a recognised university or institution.
Experience: Fourteen years of teaching and research experience in a recognised institution in the relevant speciality after obtaining the postgraduate degree — of which at least three years must be as Associate Professor.

Assistant Professor (Direct Recruitment)
Essential Qualification: A recognised MBBS degree with MD, MS, MDS, DM, or MCh (depending on the speciality) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant speciality from a recognised university or institution.
Experience: Three years of teaching and research experience in a recognised institution in the relevant speciality after obtaining the postgraduate or super-speciality degree.

Assistant Professor (Contractual)
Essential Qualification: Same as Direct Recruitment — MBBS with MD, MS, DM, or MCh in the relevant speciality.
Nature: Contractual appointment for a fixed tenure. Contractual faculty candidates will also be considered for regular posts if they meet all eligibility criteria.
