About ICAR-IARI New Delhi
The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as Pusa Institute, is India’s national institute for agricultural research, education, and extension. Emoluments
Note: HRA (House Rent Allowance) will be paid in addition to the monthly fellowship as per the Government of India norms applicable to the city/location of posting. The positions are purely on a contractual basis and do not confer any right to regular employment at ICAR-IARI or any other government institution.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in a relevant subject in the life sciences / agricultural sciences domain. For the Division of Genetics post, relevant disciplines typically include Genetics, Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Agricultural Botany. For the Division of Plant Physiology post, relevant disciplines include Plant Physiology, Botany, Biochemistry, or related agricultural sciences.
Candidates who have qualified NET/GATE or equivalent national-level examinations are preferred as per ICAR/DBT SRF norms. Full eligibility details are available on the IARI website at www.iari.res.in.
Experience
Candidates with prior research experience in plant genetics, maize improvement, molecular markers, crop physiology, or related DBT-funded project areas will be preferred. Experience working in a recognised agricultural or biological research laboratory is an added advantage.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for SRF posts under DBT-funded projects is generally 35 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates as per DBT guidelines. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates is applicable as per Government of India norms. Candidates should verify the exact age limit on the IARI website or by contacting the PI directly.

- Carry a valid photo identity proof (Aadhar Card, Passport, or any government-issued ID).
- Carry 2 recent passport-size photographs.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in. The number of posts is tentative and may change.
