1. What is NSIC?
The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) was established in 1955 under the Government of India. It is a Mini Ratna Category-I CPSE under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). NSIC’s headquarter is at NSIC Bhawan, Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi — 110020.
NSIC’s mission is to promote, support and foster the growth of the MSME sector in India through various schemes and services:
- Marketing support — helping MSMEs access government procurement through tender marketing, single point registration, and bulk supply programmes
- Finance and credit support — raw material assistance, bill discounting, and credit facilitation for small businesses
- Technology transfer and incubation — through its Technical Centres across India
- Skill development and training — vocational and entrepreneurship training through NSIC Training and Incubation Centres
- Venture Capital Fund — NSIC Venture Capital Fund Limited (NVCFL) provides risk capital to MSMEs
Why NSIC Young Professional is an attractive opportunity: This is a genuine government PSU contractual role — not a private company. NSIC Young Professionals work directly on MSME support programmes, digital transformation, and venture capital — gaining rare exposure to India’s MSME ecosystem at a policy and implementation level. This experience is highly valued for future careers in MSME finance, policy, consulting, and technology.

| Online application opens | 23 May 2026 |

5. Age limit
| Condition | Details |
| Maximum age for all posts | 40 years as on 8 June 2026 |
| Minimum age | Not specified — effectively constrained by the 2-year experience requirement |
| Age relaxation | As per Government of India rules for reserved categories (SC 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years) |
Maximum age 40 years is relatively generous compared to most PSU officer posts which typically have a cut-off of 27–32 years. This makes NSIC Young Professional accessible to candidates who are more experienced and may be making a mid-career move into the government/MSME ecosystem.
6. Salary
Minimum salary
₹40,000/month
Maximum salary
₹70,000/month
VC Fund Senior Analyst

Nature
Consolidated — contractual
Important — contractual salary, not government pay scale. The ₹40,000–₹70,000 per month is a consolidated contractual payment. Unlike permanent PSU employees, Young Professionals do not receive DA, HRA, PF, gratuity, or pension from NSIC. You are responsible for paying your own income tax. GST as applicable will be paid by NSIC. This is a significant difference from a permanent government job — factor this into your decision.
The exact salary within the range is determined by NSIC based on your qualifications, experience, and interview performance. For the Venture Capital Fund Senior Analyst post (Post No. 11), NSIC may offer a higher salary than the stated range at its sole discretion based on qualification and experience.
7. Important conditions to know

- Canvassing in any form will immediately disqualify your candidature.
- NSIC reserves the right to cancel this recruitment at any stage without assigning any reason.
8. Selection process
- Shortlisting of applications — NSIC screens applications against eligibility criteria. Candidates with more relevant experience and stronger qualifications are shortlisted first.
- Personal interview — Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview. The interview assesses domain knowledge, MSME sector understanding, and suitability for the specific Young Professional role. For technical roles like Software and Electrical, technical questions will be asked. For finance and VC roles, financial analysis and investment knowledge will be tested.

11. Frequently asked questions
Is NSIC Young Professional a permanent government job?
No. NSIC Young Professional is explicitly a contractual engagement — not a permanent government job. You will not have government service status, NPS pension contributions, DA, HRA, or other permanent government employee benefits. However, you are working for a Government of India enterprise (Mini Ratna CPSE), which provides career credibility and government-sector exposure that is highly valued in future employment. The contract duration is not specified in the notification — check the official PDF for contract period details.
I have a B.Tech in Computer Science and also work in digital marketing. Can I apply for both Software and Digital Marketing domains?
No. You can apply for only ONE domain. If you submit multiple applications, only the first one (earliest date and time stamp) will be considered and all others will be rejected. Decide which domain you are strongest in and where your primary 2-year experience lies — then apply for only that one domain.
I have an MBA in Finance with 3 years of experience. Which domain is best for me?
With MBA Finance and 3 years of experience, you have two strong options: Market Research & Financial Analysis (1 post) and Venture Capital Fund Senior Analyst (2 posts). If your experience is in financial analysis, credit assessment, or MSME lending — Market Research & Financial Analysis is your best fit. If your experience is in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or startup financing — Venture Capital Fund Senior Analyst is the better match and also offers a potentially higher salary slab. Choose based on where your actual experience lies.
What does the Venture Capital Fund Senior Analyst post involve at NSIC?
NSIC Venture Capital Fund Limited (NVCFL) is a subsidiary of NSIC that provides risk capital to MSMEs. The Venture Capital Fund Senior Analyst would work on deal sourcing for MSME investments, financial due diligence, investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, and reporting for NSIC’s venture capital operations. This is a unique role — very few government organisations in India operate a venture capital fund for MSMEs. The experience is extremely valuable for a career in MSME finance, impact investing, or development finance.
Will I be posted only in New Delhi or could I be sent anywhere in India?
The primary posting is New Delhi at NSIC’s head office (Okhla Industrial Estate). However, the notification specifically states that the engagement is for NSIC and/or its subsidiaries — NSIC has offices, Technical Centres, and subsidiaries across India. You could potentially be posted to NSIC’s regional offices in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, or other locations depending on organisational requirements. Be mentally prepared for postings outside Delhi when you apply.
I have 1.5 years of experience. Can I still apply?
No. The minimum 2 years of post-qualification relevant experience is a hard requirement for all 12 domains. There is no provision for applying with lesser experience. All qualifications and experience must be acquired by the eligibility cut-off date of 8 June 2026. If you reach 2 years of experience before 8 June 2026, you are eligible. If not, watch nsic.co.in for future Young Professional recruitment cycles.
